What Are The Green Concepts Of Biodegradable Tableware

Jan 20, 2024

The green concept of biodegradable meals is that this type of biodegradable tableware is produced by fermenting renewable resources such as corn, potatoes, and crop straw, and further purifying and polymerizing high-purity polylactic acid as raw material. Polylactic acid is a representative of completely biodegradable new biomaterials, and is currently a cost-effective biodegradable and environmentally friendly polymer material. Compared with traditional petroleum based materials, each ton of polylactic acid can reduce about three tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
This is because polylactic acid has good biodegradability, which is completely degraded by microorganisms and ultimately generates carbon dioxide and water. Compared to ordinary plastics treated with incineration, which causes a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions into the air, the carbon emissions of polylactic acid from raw materials to polymer production process are about one-third of that of general plastic polyethylene.
